From the General Manager’s Desk
Happy Thanksgiving to all our patrons and our resort, casino, and golf course staff and families. As I reflect back on the 2023 season, I recognize that we here at The Wilderness have many things to be thankful for.

First off, I’m thankful for the entire team here at The Wilderness. We achieved some great recognition from national publications including Golf Week’s “Best Casino Courses” with the Wilderness coming in as #7 in the US, Golf Digest’s “Best Courses in Minnesota” at #8 and in the “100 Greatest Public Courses” at #67.  It is such a great testament to the outstanding efforts of each staffer, from course and grounds to guest services, the pro shop, and The Wilderness Grill. 

Personally, I’m thankful for Ana, Joey & Lucas for all their support and understanding during a busy first season back at The Wilderness. Moving is never easy, and you all keep me balanced and grounded.

An update from Course Superintendent Trevor "Trey" Rintala
'Tis the season, from the looks of the course! While our golf course is the closed for the year, the work continues.  Funny how you look forward to taking time to celebrate the holiday season, but as soon as it's over, you start thinking about spring. Who knows?! Maybe you were gifted a new set of irons, or your stocking was filled to the brim with Pro V1’s. Either way, you start thinking of that first round of the season.

Rest assured we are doing everything possible to prepare for the upcoming year, and we will be just as eager to see the snow melt! In the meantime, we will continue to put the course put bed and focus on gearing up our equipment for spring. In between snow fall, we are working to keep our cross-country ski trails open, so if you have a chance, come try them out! Keep an eye on our website and social media pages for up-to-date postings of trail conditions. We are hoping to make some changes for next year, and an early spring would help tremendously. Until then, we hope you have a safe and happy winter, and, as always, we will see you out there on the short stuff.
